CryptoKitties is the most popular crypto game. At the center of this game are Kitties, often seen as an attractive investment for people interested in crypto, gaming, and art. Collectors like it because of its relation to digital art, crypto investors like it because of its connection to cryptocurrencies, and gamers like it because they can play with their Kitties and earn a lot of profit through breeding, trading, buying, and selling.
CryptoKitties is a blockchain game that runs on Ethereum. In it, players collect and breed Kitties, digital pets with unique DNA. Like actual living cats, CryptoKitties have unique appearances, color patterns, DNAs, and more.
They can breed and create offsprings that belong to new generations. These new generations inherit some Cattributes (attributes) from their parents, which makes the entire breeding process exciting. To breed new Kitties you need at least two parent Kitties, preferably with Cattributes you want to pass along to others.
In CryptoKitties pretty much everything revolves around breeding. As said, newly bred Kitties inherit attributes from their parents. When breeding, you have to pay attention to Kitties' cooldowns, which determines how often will your Kitty be able to breed. The more your Kitty breeds, the longer its cooldown gets.
When two Kitties breed they create an Egg. When you hatch an Egg, the new Kitty will spawn from it with its potential Cattribtues. This is also the time when mutations may occur. Mutations are the result of hidden Cattributes that parents can pass along to their offerings even those these attributes don’t show on the parents.
It's A Cat Multiverse
CryptoKitties has a lot of depth, and perhaps that is what makes this game and its assets so valuable.
Each Kitty is unique and immortal, stored on the blockchain. There are also various types of Kitties, like Exclusives, Specials, and Limited-Edition. Cats also have different features, like Cattribtues, Generations, Cooldowns, Mutations, Genes, and more.
Some players dove deep into these game mechanics and made a lot of money from it. It’s not uncommon for people to earn money by playing crypto games, and CryptoKitties is definitely one of those games that appeal to gamers. It’s simple and easy to pick up, but incredibly complex at its deepest levels. It combines digital art, technology, crypto and gaming and packs it into one phenomenon that many are riding today.
Till this day, Dragon is the most expensive Kitty ever sold ($170,000). The second most expensive Kitty sold was Founder Cat #18 ($110,000).
Making Money By Playing CryptoKitties
There are different ways of earning money from playing CryptoKitties. We've said that this is a game for collectors. What some of them do is they purchase Kitties believing that their value will rise with time. When the collectors’ expectations are met, they sell. This is similar to physical art.
However, it’s also similar to trading stocks, only you trade digital art whose value is partially tied to Ethereum. That’s why many crypto investors purchase CryptoKitties. That way their currencies aren’t just at the mercy of the market but is also tied to the artistic value of a digital cat. This has its pros and cons, of course. The biggest pro is that you can play with your stock breed more valuable Cats, assuming you know what you’re doing!
Some collectors don't sell their kitties because they believe the value of Kitties will skyrocket once blockchain gaming goes mainstream. Another way of making a profit is by simply playing the game. Both casual and hardcore CryptoKitties fans play the game every day and earn a profit (some more, some less). They look for perfect matches, they breed, they use the right tools, and they participate in events.
For Collectors & Gamers
The DGaming Festival is offering truly unique Kitties that appeal to both collectors and gamers. We're offering 16 assets, of which some have already been sold. We've handpicked some valuable ones to demonstrate how far the blockchain gaming can go.
Some of these Kitties are worth a lot of money, and there's a reason why they are worth so much. Most importantly, there's also a chance their value will increase as more people join the DGaming Industry. So without further ado, meet our finest fur!
Aside from being amazingly cool looking, Catamari is a Gen0 Kitty with a brisk cooldown. Gen0 Kitties are often the most valuable ones. Also, the brisk cooldown allows Catamari to breed every hour. Catamari is also a Fancy cat, and such cats can only be bred via recipes during a limited time. This Cat is fit for hardcore CryptoKitties gamers.
Though journalists should remain unbiased, I believe this is the coolest Kitty ever! This Fancy Ninja cat wielding two Katanas is not to be messed with. Poison Orchid was apparently once defeated by its archnemesis Catyrax and is now in search of revenge. Poison Orchid is perfect for digital art collectors.
This is a Special Edition Gen1 Fancy cat with the finest fur in the Kittyverse. Special Edition Cats are unbreakable which means that they can only be obtained through special events. Aeoncats are extremely rare (0.02%), and they're rarely on sale. And when someone is selling, the price often makes you dizzy.
These are not the only Kitties we have to offer. To see the full list, be sure to check out our DGaming sales page. But beware that the prices are going down as the clock is ticking, so act quickly before someone snatches the Cat you desperately want!
