Today, Enjin officially announced that their latest update for the Enjin Wallet is live. The new wallet comes with a built-in token swap feature, which allows users to swap Enjin Coin (ENJ) for more than 200 cryptocurrencies conveniently and securely.
How Does The Token Swap Feature Work?
As of today, ENJ holders and gamers who earn ENJ by playing ENJ-backed games can now convert their ENJ into Bitcoin, Ethereum and many other cryptocurrencies. Most importantly, they can do so without leaving the secure environment that been described by many 3rd party auditors as the most secure crypto wallet on the DApp market.
The new features will give extra security to an already highly-secure wallet since the users won't have to transact their currencies via 3rd party platforms manually. Instead, the token-swapping function will occur via these 3 exchange platforms; Changelly, Bancor Network, and Kyber Network. While transacting, users have the option to select any of these platforms depending on their personal preferences (the platforms vary in price, transaction speed, and other factors).
Why Is This Big?
The Enjin Wallet is one of the world's top-rated crypto wallets. It's free to download and available on both App Store and Google Play. The wallet became the first wallet to accept Enjin's ERC-1155 NFTs and has since then been downloaded more than 500,000 times.
It's thanks to this update that all Enjin users, including developers, gamers, and investors, can easily convert ENJ into Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and other notable cryptocurrencies. The wallet will also work well with Enjin's EnjinX blockchain explorer, which has been described as the world’s fastest blockchain explorer. EnjinX will soon support ERC-1155 and ERC-721 tokens, which would allow half a million users to browse crypto assets such as in-game items, art, books, and much more.
Making Ethereum Better
In an attempt to promote the Ethereum blockchain, Enjin is also working on an SDK for Unity, one of the world's most used and successful game development platforms. Unity itself is more than interested in working with Enjin, which is evident from their willingness to list Enjn's SDK on the front page of their Asset Store.
With Enjin Mintshop, developers, artists, designers, and others will be able to convert ERC-1155 and ERC-721 tokens into various digital assets. Most importantly, at least from a gamer's perspective, platforms such as PlayStation, Mac, Windows, and Xbox will be able to integrate the said tokens into their games and deliver the benefits of true asset ownership to millions of users worldwide.
