Though Taurion is still in development, the game has already been portrayed as challenging, difficult and unforgiving. The gameplay will take place on a desolate planet called Taurion, where players will fight against each other for dominance and resources. But little do they know is that their biggest enemy will actually be Taurion's brutal environment. How can they overcome it?

It's a Giant World

Taurion's map is gigantic; 8129 x 8129 hexagonal tiles resulting in a total of 66,080,641 explorable tiles. Now, while you'll be able to explore all of these tiles, not all of them will be walkable. Taurion is a diverse planet, featuring mountains, buildings, and even quicksand, over which you won’t be able to travel.

Taurion hides many riches and artifacts

As you're searching for resources, you'll have to carefully navigate through this environment. But be careful; a wrong turn can be costly and waste a lot of time.

The Good News

The good news is that your in-game characters will travel across Taurion in vehicles that are built for exploration. As you progress through the game, you'll also be able to upgrade your vehicles and allow them to travel faster. The speeds of the vehicles vary significantly; some can travel 0.001 tiles per block, others 20 per block.

This may get even worse if your enemies target you with slowing-based weapons. Then again, you'll be able to do the same for them while you're racing for the same resource goals. The best thing, however, is the fact that Taurion's map is fully decentralized and stored on the XAYA blockchain. This will prevent frauds, cheating, and similar malevolent activities.

It's All About the Resources

Though Taurion looks like a deserted, uninhabited planet, by digging beneath its misleading surface you'll find minerals, crystals, metals, and other resource types. Each resource type will have its purpose in the game. For example, you'll use metals to build armor or crystals and minerals to power intra-galactic travel or even complex weapon systems.

But Taurion hides other things besides ore and minerals, things that ancient, more advanced civilizations left behind. If you manage to find these ancient artifacts and get them to work, you'll undoubtedly set yourself apart from other players. What's best, you'll be able to sell these artifacts on an open marketplace and make a huge profit!
