All Cheeze Wizards are immortal and powerful; no one can deny that. But there are some Wizards whose power, scarcity, and value goes far beyond the normal cheesiness. Here we're going to explore these mighty Wizards of Cheeze. Well also touch briefly on Curdlins, special CryptoKitties that made these already rare Wizards into one of the most scarce assets in the game. You can find some of these Wizards in our sale.
Some Wizards Are Mightier Than Others
Cheeze Wizards has assets of various prices. These prices are determined by the asset's intrinsic and perceptive value. For instance, the more expensive Wizards will perform better in-game. These Wizards also boast unique stats, appearances, and attributes, which greatly impacts their value in and outside the game.
Each Wizard also has traits and items that help shape its value. These can be Face, Wand, Hat, Cape, and so on. Then there's the element affinity, which determines how your Wizard will perform against other Wizards. It’s important to keep these little things in mind when deciding which Wizard is best for you. Let's walk you through this by example.
Meet Claw of Evil
Cheeze Wizard #244, or the one we call 'Claw of Evil', is not your average Cheddar, Gouda or Mozzarella. You can’t see it in every blockchain gaming store, nor can you summon it with a small amount of Ether like you can most other Wizards. For hodling such great power, you have to pay the price.
There'll never be a Wizard like Claw of Evil. Literally! This is a unique Wizard that is both Evil Mold magician AND a Pawface wizard. There was a limited time in Cheeze Wizards during which you could combine limited-edition Wizard with Curdlin Kitty; this is such wizard. More importantly, there was only one Evil Wizard that was eligible for combining with a Curdlin Kitty; this is that One Wizard. We can't determine its actual value, but it's worth a lot both in and out of the game.
The Claw of Evil is so fierce that he is the best positioned Wizard to win the PawFace special reward of 12.5 ETH. The last Cheeze Wizard standing wins the prize, and the determining factors are mostly decided by power and resisting mold. Claw of Evil is the most powerful on the game, and he is also a mold magician, able to make the most stubborn of mold evaporate.
The In-Game Value Of Claw of Evil
Claw of Evil is one of the most powerful Wizards in the game, having 1143 out of 1151 points on the OpenSea ranking board. So how is one able to determine such stat? Well, let's start with the basics. Firstly, Claw is a tier 7 Wizard, and there are only 42 tier 7 Wizards in-game. This stat alone pushes Claw of Evil into the top 1% territory.
It's also Evil Wizard by Nature, and only 0.86% of Wizards are Evil. It has a Pawface, and only 1% of Wizards have a Pawface face. You can see the image below to see the full list of characteristics that make Claw of Evil so special.
On Other Valuable Pawface Wizards
We'd also like you to pay close attention to two of our finest Paw Wizards: CheezeWizard #2487 and #2462, christened by us as Red Paw of Fire and Teal Paw of Water. Right from the start, we have to admit that these two Wizards don't like each other because Water Wizards are always extra strong against Fire Wizards. You can understand why Red Paw of Fire hates Tael Paw of Water...
But that’s not what makes these two wizards unique. What makes them unique is that they both have a Pawface face, and only 1% of all Wizards have Pawface. Plus, obtaining either one of these grants you a chance of competing for the 12,5 ETH special prize!
The key thing to understand here is that you can't make Wizards like these, ever. There was a brief period when you were able to unlock Pawface trait using Curdlin the Fancy Cat, but this is no longer an option. However, there are some things that can make these Wizards even rarer…
Use The Power Of Curdlins
Some time ago we wrote about unlocking special content in Cheeze Wizards using Curdlin the Fancy Cat. In fact, it was during this time frame that we were able to create Wizards with Pawfaces. So how did that work?
Most of you know that CryptoKitties and Cheeze Wizards are made by the same studio, Dapper Labs. Dapper is a big believer in the blockchain interoperability and often experiments with it. They decided to experiment with CryptoKitties and Cheeze Wizards too by allowing some Fancy Cats (Curdlins) to interact with Cheeze Wizards.
Specifically, Curdlins that had active Kitty Tricks abilities were able to turn Cheeze Wizards into Kitty Wizards, that is, Wizards with Pawfaces. Furthermore, this also unlocked special quests in Cheeze Wizards for these Wizards. So, if you purchase any of the three Kitty Wizards we’ve created, you'll get access to special content in Cheeze Wizards!
Why Purchase These Curdlins?
We're offering Curdlins alongside the Wizards they've transformed. Why? Well, we believe that having both a Pawface Wizard and a Kitty that used its Kitty Tricks on them can unlock some special synergy in Cheeze Wizards.
This isn't guaranteed, but considering the Dapper's affinity towards interoperability, Pawface Wizard and its Curdlin may enjoy some special synergy in-game. We, therefore, suggest that you buy the compatible Curlin just to be on the safe side.
