Battle Racers had quite a busy month. In this article, we'll walk you through the activity and describe what new features were added to the game. We'll also talk about the Battle Racers presale and discuss some future updates and changes.
Introducing Leaderboards & Car Customizations
During the first multiplayer testing phase, the Battle Racers community expressed their desire to have in-game leaderboards. The team took notes, and in less than a month added the leaderboards, together with other minor improvements and changes.
Also, the team temporarily enabled a feature that allows players to customize the Practice Car. Additionally, the players can customize the car using parts they’ve obtained from their crates. And even though the players still can't customize their vehicles on the mainnet, this testing feature gives us a sneak peek into how the Battle Racers customization will work in the future.
Items Are Selling Like Crazy
In less than a month, Battle Racers raised 550 ETH through its item presale. It’s also interesting to know that the Battle Racers Axie-themed crates also sold like crazy!
In fact, in less than 24 hours, Battle Racers sold all 150 Axie Infinity-themed crates. This just goes to show that the DGaming community does support partnerships, interoperability, special-edition events, and cross-gaming experiences.
The Battle Racers presale ends on June 20th. The team said they'd like to celebrate their successful campaign, which is why they'll increase the chance of dropping Legendary car parts in all crates by 50%. So, if you haven't purchased any crates thus far and would like to play the game, now is the time to start buying!
About The Future Updates
The ability to trade parts was arguably the #1 request that came from the Battle Racers community. To make this possible, Battle Racers hired an extra game engineer who will ensure that Battle Racers' car parts are tradable on the OpenSea platform.
Initially, Battle Racers imagined that users will only be able to trade cars, not car parts. But seeing that the majority of its community is asking for this big change, the team will deliver on this request. We still don't know when car part trading will be added to the game, but we'll let you know on our DGaming media channel as soon as we find out.
And while the Battle Racers team is working on the game, consider playing something else in the meantime. If you're unsure about what you'd like to play, visit our DGaming Store.
