Just recently, NeoWorld partnered with Wolf3D to bring virtual humans in NeoWorld. NeoWorld will leverage Wolf3D's advanced technology and allow NeoWorld players to transfer their identity into its virtual world to make it more real and heterogeneous.
Making Virtual World Real
Wolf3D is an Estonian tech company that develops 3D avatars for games, apps, and fashion. The Wolf3D app leverages advanced 3D scanning and enables users to create their virtual avatars.
Once created, users can implement their avatars in games, or use them for other purposes. Wolf3D's goal is to enable all humans to leverage technology and make their VR/AR experience more real and unique.
Partnering With NeoWorld
NeoWorld's COO, Kane, said, “Whilst it is true that the virtual world offers means to escape from real life, it is not the only thing the virtual world does. We are making the virtual world as real as possible.”
The current challenge in NeoWorld is a lack of uniqueness. Specifically, the players are unable to represent themselves in the virtual world as they're in the real world. The characters in-game are homogeneous, which makes it difficult for the players to look and be unique.
To fix this problem, NeoWorld partnered with Wolf3D. This will enable NeoWorld players to take selfies of themselves (in 2D) and develop a 3D NeoWorld character that looks just like them!
How Will This Impact NeoWorld?
NeoWorld is a giant virtual world that currently hosts over 61,000 residents from nearly 70 countries. It features a self-governing system and a decentralized economy, where users are free to trade, buy, sell their assets and services to other players. Earlier this year, the citizens of NeoWorld even arranged elections where they chose five players to govern the NeoWorld.
The partnership with Wolf3D can take this virtual world to a whole new level. It implies that each player can look uniquely, and engage with other unique members. And, since NeoWorld's goal is to make its virtual world as real as possible, the players will visit it not only to escape reality but to experience something new, something that they can't experience in the real world.
For now, NeoWorld and Wolf3D created only 1 virtual citizen for NeoWorld to demonstrate the potential to the community. The NeoWorld team said that they're making efforts to work with Wolf3D a large scale in the future, intending to bring this feature to a broader audience.
