Everything will change with the release of the MegaCryptoPolis Microeconomy 3D update, including how you manage districts. In this article, we'll help you prepare for the update and explain what tools and methods you'll use to manage your MCP districts.
At this moment, MCP players use District taxes and District funds to collect profit and develop their districts. But because the Ethereum network slows down when many MCP players perform many actions (that consist of many mini actions), the MCP team will abolish District funds and shift taxation from Districts to particular buildings.
Specifically, you'll use the new Control Panel to manage certain new aspects and processes of the game. These are:
- Budgeting - you'll set prices for spare land plots within a district, decide how much of your funds will go to the insurance commission, and determine the period across which the funds will be distributed
- Construction taxes - determine which taxes the players will pay when they construct new buildings in your districts (you can manage taxes for each building type)
- Operation costs - determine which fees the players must pay for running and using specific resources and buildings (these go on top of construction taxes)
The Power is in Your Hands
You'll be able to change the above-mentioned elements once every 30 days. Keep in mind that there'll be some scaling limitations for the elements. For example, you won't be able to put all-100% or all-0% taxes on certain resources or building types!
The funds accumulated from taxes and fees will be distributed between the Regional and Global Fund, equally. This means that no organization or individual will be able to control MCP through any method.
Governors will have to make smart decisions and listen to their district members on how to manage taxes and fees. Some will probably set high taxes to make fast profits. Others will set lower taxes to attract users and encourage them to build and construct.
Focus Is On Usability
While the MCP team will make sure the game appeals to modern gamers, they'll also put a focus on usability. The new graphic user interface (GUI) will not be that much different from the existing one so that the players can quickly adapt to it and focus on exploring new gameplay features.
The new interface will, however, feature smart forecasts and infographics that will help you make better decisions in-game. It'll also help you interact with the players, make faster purchases on vacant land plots, and more. To find more about MCP and its upcoming update, click the explore button!
