Let's Discuss The Wars Of Cutieland Battle Mechanics
by Ante Milos
In preparation for the Wars of Cutieland update, the Blockchain Cuties team has been busy unveiling details about specific game mechanics. This time we'll cover the battle system, which you’ll have to master if you want to become the true lord of Cutieland.
Generals and Soldiers
Every army needs a general. In Wars of Cutieland, only level 10 Noble Cuties will be able to become generals. Choosing the cutie to become your general will be of great significance because the general will inspire your army and give battle bonuses to each soldier in your army.
Your army will consist of cavalry, shook troops and infantry. These will be your front melee units that will deal most of the dirty work in your battles. They'll be backed by ranged infantry that will support them and attack from afar. Lastly, there are siege units that will help you tear down walls and conquer cities.
Each Pet Kind Carries Unique Powers
We all know that Cuties come in different kinds: foxes, pigs, bears, cats, and more. In Wars of Cutieland, each kind will mimic the power of the animals we can find in the real world.
For instance, bears will make excellent infantry because of their high HP and strength. We also know that foxes are quite cunning in real life, which is why they'll make a good shock and flanking troop in-game.
While amassing your army, it's advised that you diversify it and have melee, ranged and siege units. That way your army will be able to withstand all types of attacks and win many battles.
How To Measure My Army's Power?
Blockchain Cuties said, "The strength of your army is a sum of all stats and bonuses your soldiers and their general have." You can interpret this statement using common sense.
For instance, the average power of your army will be equal to the average damage your army deals. You can also sum up the total attack and defense of your units and translate them into the power of your army.
Then there are things that modify attack and defense. For example, luck will modify the attack of your army, and evasion will modify defense. Also, each unit kind will become an element unit depending on its dominant element, which means that you’ll have air, earth, fire, water and energy units.
Keep in mind that what you've read here is just a draft and that the BCU team will release a whitepaper that explains every little detail of the Wars of Cutieland battle system. Until then, keep playing and exploring Blockchain Cuties!
