The MegaCryptoPolis 3D (MCP3D) Microeconomy layer will transform the game as we know it. For you to understand the gravity of this upcoming change, you have to grasp the role of resources and their distribution. Read below to find out how big of a role resources play in MCP3D.
You Can't Build Without Resources
When the Microeconomy layer is added to the game, you'll be able to construct new or upgrade existing buildings without virtually any limitations. However, all buildings will, whether you're building or upgrading, require resources.
Notice that this change will not affect the Energy buildings, which will still need to be built near the compatible Resource spot. You'll also notice that each Resource spot will have a Resource Abundance level based on the distance from the Original Resource spot.
A New Way Of Producing Resources
Resource Abundance will significantly impact your production of Water and Electricity. The closer your Plants are to the Original Resource spot (built on top of the Resource spot), the more energy they'll produce. Also, some Citizens will be more efficient at working in Power Plants than others, that is, the Citizens' qualifications will also affect your production output.
It's crucial to understand the importance of this because all MCP3D buildings will require Water and Electricity. Effectively, Water and Electricity will be the most valuable types of resources in the game, so be sure to plan accordingly!
Getting The Most Out Of Your Parcels
When the first MCP presale was underway, the parcels with or near Resource spots were the most lucrative ones. Why? Firstly, you didn't have to construct any building on top of them for them to function. And secondly, these parcels generated Influence Points without any additional modification.
When the Microeconomy layer arrives, these parcels won't generate Influence Points without a building. Also, the current Resource parameter will be used to calculate the Resource Abundance parameter. Effectively, if you build a Solar Power plant on top of the Resource spot, it will generate huge amounts of resources. Furthermore, if you manage to acquire land parcels that have Resource spots near each other, they'll increase the overall Resource Abundance of the surrounding land plots!
The image above demonstrates how the Overlays feature will help you choose the right spot for building your Resource buildings. Keep in mind that you'll be able to test this feature on August 1 because that's when the MCP team will release the MCP3D Demo update.
To ensure that your MCP3D strategy is successful, clear your calendar for August 1. If you're still not playing MCP, don’t worry; there’s still enough time to start acquire land and Asset Packs! Just go straight to our DGaming store and start your MCP journey.
