The Caesar's Triumph team has been ferociously testing the upcoming update for almost a month now. The big update is not ready for release yet, but the team said they'd meet the August deadline. To discover what the testing is like and the new features that will arrive with the upcoming update, read below!
Roman Conquest As One Global Battle
Arguably the best thing about the upcoming Roman Conquest update is the fact that players of all ranks and powers will be set on one giant map. You will, of course, need to own at least one land parcel to participate in the conquest.
This one giant battle will also be timeless and without any time-related restrictions, meaning that the players will be able to do combat 24/7. However, some gameplay mechanics will be implemented to ensure that the strongest players don't destroy those that have just started their war journey
The second best thing is the implementation of historical Regions, which will feature troop limits, a governance system, and various other exciting features. This introduction of Regions paired will the new governance system will ensure that all players can be a part of the game and receive rewards for their noble efforts.
But What About Gas Fees?
Since Caesar's Triumph runs on the Ethereum blockchain, the question of gas fees inevitably arises. The Roman Conquest is going to be a huge update, featuring a lot of transactions and actions, meaning that the players will have to spend a lot of ETH to play the game.
To balance things out, the Caesar's Triumph team will charge gas fees for these actions:
- resource harvesting
- production of industry items
- production of resource upgrades
- making land improvements or buildings
- converting resources into Denari (in-game currency)
Will This Work?
The team believes that these changes to gas fees are fair. Moreover, they believe the changes will improve the economy. Previously, Caeser's Triumph masked gas fee costs by charging players with Denari.
While this decision helped the game onboard a lot of new players (because they didn't have to bother with gas fees), it was difficult to constantly adjust Denari fees with accordance to the highly volatile Ethereum gas fees. That's why the team implemented the aforementioned changes.
Keep in mind that these changes to gas fees aren't fixed and that the team will revamp them if they notice any downgrades. To test the new gas fee system and prepare for the upcoming Roman Conquest, go directly to our store and start playing Caesar's Triumph!
