In this article, we're going to talk about the new Gods Unchained's reward program, Genesis Raffle. This new program allows users to earn Genesis Raffle Tokens by winning ranked matches or recruiting friends that also win games.
Extending The Play To Earn Model
Gods Unchained (GU) is a free-to-play game. Yes, you can purchase cards with ETH and play with them in-game (or have them as crypto collectibles), but this is not necessary for you to play the game. When you join you receive free cards, and with them earn new packs by playing matches versus others.
To make this model even more beneficial for the players, the GU team introduced the Genesis Raffle, a program that enables players to earn ERC-20 tokens. These tokens are tradable on 3rd-party platforms and have intrinsic real-world value.
How To Earn Genesis Raffle Tokens?
The easiest way to earn these tokens is by winning multiplayer matches. The second way requires that you invite a friend to play GU via your unique access link. If your friend joins, and if your friend starts winning multiplayer matches, you'll earn tokens.
This unique link is located in the top right corner right next to the Store Tab. Know that this link has unlimited use, so you're free to invite as many players as you want. The GU team is also advising that you tick the referral box on the Raffle page, which will give you 10% of all the purchases your invitees make in GU store.
What Can You Do With Raffle Tokens?
You can trade tokens on community-run marketplaces GUDecks and GUCards. You can continue earning the tokens until October 17, and enroll in a special giveaway that the GU team will host on October 24.
On that special date, one user will win Tethys, the final mythic card of the Genesis season. Mythic cards are the rarest and most powerful assets in GU. They're also one of a kind, with only 4 being released per year. These cards are often game-changing, in the sense that their abilities drastically shape the course of the match.
Take Tethys as an example. Her ability says, "At the start of the game add 10 Blue Whales to both players’ decks." Pretty cool, right? To learn more about Tethys, tokens, and rewards, visit the Gods Unchained official blog. To start exploring or playing the game, click the explore button below!
